Mid-Term Pitch

One of my favorite events on campus is IM sports. It is something we kind of take for granted but students volunteer to be referees for these games. Oftentimes the student referees are officiating many sports during the quarter, balancing school work and some even play for club sports teams.

As someone who has played IM sports at Northwestern, I often find myself disagreeing with their calls but understanding of their limitations -- there are only so many people willing to be referees.

Why do these students decide to become referees? What kind of qualifications are needed? What do they get out of it?

Here is the way I envision my mid-term project to look like. The green and gray boxes are meant to place-holders and the project will be on a much bigger stage.
